At Last: breaking out with my tribe.

Within the last month, great things have happened for me. I’ve been picked up for an anthology. I’ve read at an open mic night. I’ve been learning dictation like never before.

All that is great, but I also feel most fortunate that a dozen creatives have engaged with me lately. This is so great, for (just like the gurus said) I am building confidence and community. Together, these other creatives and I are moving the puck down the ice.

I know for SEO and all that I should drop names. Maybe I will do just that in individualized, slo-mo mentions and individual blog posts.

For the here and now, just know (and I’m writing for my future self and for any other reader who needs to hear this)…making connections matters.

If I could go to a writing conference right now, I think I’d meet every person in the place! It feels that good!

This too: I wish my mind were more like a steel trap than a rusty hinge. A few days ago I encountered a fabulous quotation that would serve so perfectly in this blog post…but I can’t pull it up or relocate it. The gist of it goes something like this….

I can be annoying talking to you or just sitting quietly, so I’m going to talk.
